Raise the Flag 2022

This competition will determine the Flagship of the TIE Corps, the TCCOM’s Escort Squadron, and TCCOM’s Wingman for the next 12 months. Any forms of activity presented by the pilots will grant points to their ships. The TIE Corps Command Staff and Emperor’s Hammer Command Staff will be participating as Avenger Squadron aboard the VSDII Aggressor. All disputes will be settled by the TIE Corps Command Staff.

The number of points awarded for each activity are as follows:

Single Player

2 points to each TIE Fighter Single Player mission flown from the TC Battle Center
3 points to each X-Wing vs TIE Fighter Single Player mission flown from the TC Battle Center
3 points to each X-Wing Alliance Single Player mission flown from the TC Battle Center
5 points to each X-Wing Single Player mission flown from the TC Battle Center
5 points to each TFTC Single Player mission flown from the TC Battle Center
10 points for every mission high score
10 points x # of missions in the battle for every battle high score

Each battle/free mission in the compendium can be flown only once throughout the month for credit in the competition. Note that battles already flown in previous months of this year are eligible to be re-flown for points in Raise the Flag, however, they will not count towards Ace of the TIE Corps competition awards.

Ewok Hunt

Ewok Hunt is banned. It can still be played during RtF, but screenshots for matches played in October need to be submitted in November.

Custom Matches in Squadrons

Modifiers are not allowed in custom matches in Squadrons for 4 or 5 players. When submitting the results of a custom match with 4 or 5 players, a screenshot showing that no modifiers were used must be included.

For 2 or 3 players, the following set of modifiers may be used:

60% raider/corvette hull (both factions)
80% capital ship hull (both factions)
80% flagship hull (both factions)

Art

Fiction will be limited to one submission per pilot per week with bonus comps providing a prompt each week
- Word count minimum (1000) and maximum (4000) will be implemented
Graphics will be limited to one submission per pilot per week with bonus comps providing a prompt each week
- No commissioned artwork
- Graphics utilizing pre-existing work must be sufficiently modified to be considered valid. For example, don’t download something from DeviantArt and submit it as your own, there’d need to be a decent amount of modification in order to be okay to submit.
A pair of weekly comps, one fiction and one graphics, will run each week from the 1st-7th, 8th-14th, 15th-21st, 22nd-28th. The 29th-31st will not have any bonus comps running.
Memes will be limited to 20 submissions per pilot for the month

Cap of 200 points earned via memes per pilot (max of 10 per submission)

Submissions will be judged by the TCCS using a rubric. Ties from that process will be broken with a simple vote.

Bonus points

Bonus points and participation points are awarded to the pilot.

There will be no:

Points for Squadron Citations earned: all squadrons and ships must get into the competition with equal conditions, and citations might be easier for one squadron to get than for another;
FCHG/CR Rank gains points: these rank gains can be more easily achieved by one pilot than by the other, and pilots must enter the competition with equal conditions to award points
Points for IWATS/IU Courses taken, because of the current EH system not allowing the retaking of tests.
Points for Mission Creation: because Mission creation takes too long to be placed in a month long competition, and it would be difficult to see results.
